The ✨F-STAR Project✨ is FLiiiP’s internship program for young animators and artists in related industries who want to explore further their style and capabilities.
FLiiiP is still a team in developement, thus we hope to meet more like-minded fresh blood in order to help FLiiiP grow as a team with more possibilities in future creations.
Q: Are there any requirements for submitting a resume?
First of all, please make sure to put “F-Star Project” or “Internship” in the subject title of your email.
It is also a good idea to attach a portfolio that logically and clearly demonstrates your current abilities.
Q: What is the daily routine of an internship?
An internship at FLiiiP consists of two major parts.
The first involves participation in FLiiiP commercial/ internal projects. You will be able to learn new skills from team, and also gather more understanding of pipelines and workflows in real-world projects.
The second refers to “star assignment” , FLiiiP members will help exploring the balance between your personal artistic style and commecial requirement. You will be able to learn differnet methods to complete high-quality work in commercial projects. Our team will help you to complete a star assignment based on your visions.
Q: How long is the internship period? How many spots are available? When should I submit my resume?
The ideal internship cycle for F-Star is three months.
Due to space limited, we are currently able to accommodate 3 young stars per internship period.
However, the project is open all year round, so theoretically, you can join us as soon as there are vacancies at the end of each period, and you can submit your resume at any preferred time.
Q: What are the requirements for interns in terms of age, experience or abilities ? Is it possible to intern remotely?
Regarding remote: we do not currently accept remote internships, we think it’s important to have actual access to the team.
Regarding age: there is no requirement, in school or already graduated from work, as long as there is a passion for animation! We even welcome those who have retired.
Regarding ability: because of the limited number of places available, we do take into account the ability of the interns.
But! (emphasis added)
You don't need to already be able to make sophiscated works in all aspects of art and animation! Internship itself is a process of learning and getting stronger, and we'll all grow together here ;)
So whether it's animation, art, 3D, motion, or stop-motion, as long as you believe you have a skill that matches the styles or art directions of FLiiiP, feel free to submit your resume.
Q: Is there a chance for internship to become fulltime employees?
Yes. After completing your internship, if you get the common approval from existing FLiiiP members and have the willingness to continue working with us, we certainly hope you can stay.
However, please kindly understand that with our current capacity we may not be able to keep everyone yet.
Q: When will my resume be reviewed and get replied?
Usually we will answer applying emails within a week.(Some mailboxes such as Foxmail or outlook will ban our email address sometimes and please check trash box if you get no reply for a while)
Q: Where is the studio located?
Xuhui district, Shanghai, China.
